What if you don’t work from home?
Hi there,
Home Office Feng Shui Tip
If you are working from home, it is important that you do not sit facing a wall, that the door to your office is not behind you. You should ensure that you have an unobstructed view, free of clutter on your desk, your back is well supported by a wall or a solid filing cupboard, and face your most auspicious direction according to your personal gua number.
To know your gua number and your auspicious directions, check out gua tables in my products page here.
To your success!
Jeannie
Lucky stars
Dear Readers,
The following stars are most timely in Period 8, if you are familiar with the flying stars of your house or apartment, activate them and you will enjoy wealth and success. If you’re not sure of your flying stars chart, read my posting on 2008 Annual Star chart in the tool bar “what you must know” above. Spend as much time as you can in the east and southeast sectors of your house, annual stars 8 and 9 will occupy these two direction in 2008.
Star # 1, our distant prosperity star, is water in nature. It is quiet and stable but active and restless at heart. It brings career success, academic success, good relationship, and growth.
Be well. Jeannie

Sometimes Feng Shui is pure common sense…
Example:
Why we won’t choose to live near a cemetery, or near a garbage dump
Why we won’t hang an object above our head where we sit or sleep
Why we removed dead plants or trees instantly
Why we get irritated when next door neighbors’ dog barks all day long
Or play unbearable loud music in the late hours
Why we turn the lights off when we put our children to bed
Why we won’t place an ugly object in front of our house
Why we complain when our hotel room has no pleasant view when we’re on holidays?
Why our children refuse to take bitter medicines
The list is not exhaustive…
It’s all because, subconsciously, we know that the above examples of ugly sight, odor, noise, touch, and taste carry bad energies which are not beneficial for us.
Beauty
Is beauty related to Feng Shui? The answer is a big YES because anything beautiful carries good energy.
When you enter a clean and beautiful house, it makes you feel welcome, at home, and comfortable. You see a lovely garden with beautiful flowers, there is a fish pond with a soothing water fountain in a corner, it makes you happy and relax. Or, when you walk into a shop, there is sweet soft music, the sales persons in there are helpful and friendly… it encourages you to stay longer and perhaps purchase their products. I’m sure there are many many more examples to be cited…
All these are the simple fact that the good energy is circlating and harmonizing the atmosphere. A beautiful and happy home will have healthy people enjoying success and prosperity! So don’t wait any longer, make you home a beautiful and happy place to live in.
Monthly Flying Stars (Ji You Month - Sept 8 - Oct 8, 2007)
The above table shows the directions of Ji You Month’s (Sept 8 to Oct 8, 2007) flying stars. The numbers in red are the annual stars while the numbers in black are the month stars. Although I have presented it in a 9 square, please remember that the qi (or energy) cannot be contained in a box, but comes from all eight directions.
The south, and southwest sectors house the career and wealth stars this month, movements and activities in these areas would help boost the auspicious stars..
Potential problem areas may be found in the NE, N and NW, with disputes, loss of wealth and fire hazards. The sickness star is amplified by the 9 fire star in the east, avoid sleeping in this sector or place a metal wu lou here to counter the sickness star.
Ding Wei Month (July 7 - Aug 7, 2007)
The following table shows the directions of Ding Wei Month’s (July 7 to Aug 7, 2007) stars. The numbers in red are the annual stars. Although I have presented it in a 9 squares, please remember that the qi (or energy) cannot be contained in a box, but comes from all eight directions
I’m not minimizing the effects of the monthly stars, but using a percentage point to compare with Annual stars, I would say the effect is about 10%. But you still have to watch out for the unlucky sectors.
This month, west, south, and east sectors house the wealth, career, and academic stars respectively. Those who are in the real estate business may see an increase in their earnings. South is especially good for potential career advancement.
Problem areas are in the southeast and north. If possible, avoid the southeast sector totally. The negative qi in the north threatens to bring illnesses, do not hesitate to consult a doctor as soon as symptoms arise. Stars combination in the northeast will lead to possible confusion of one’s mind, and may bring misfortune… an area to be avoided as well. Southwest could be quite problematic for small kids, while northwest sector brings conflicts and disputes.

Bing Wu Month (June 6 - July 6, 2007)
The following table shows the directions of Bing Wu Month’s (June 6 to July 6, 2007) stars.
So you still have to watch out for the unlucky sectors.
This month, the potential problem areas are found in the east with 5 yellow earth strengthened by the annual fire. This combination confuses one’s mind, and may lead to financial or health problems due to impulsive behavior. Avoid this area if at all possible. The sickness star flies to the south this month, make sure you have a wu lou to absorb the sickness qi. The conflicting and quarrelsome star finds its home in the north, a little bit of black or dark blue color can help smoothen the qi flow. Northeast may bring some illnesses of the ears, kidney, or genital organs. The fire energy is extremely strong this month, so be extra mindful of fire hazards..
The west, southwest, and northwest sectors house the academic and prosperity stars, extremely good for study and sitting for exams, also money generating luck. The stars in the southwest and northwest indicate children may be injured. Southeast is especially good for career advancement and financial luck.

May 6 to June 5, 2007 - Yi Si month
The following table shows the directions of Yi Si Month’s (May 6 to June 5, 2007) stars. Although I have presented it in a 9 squares, please remember that the qi (or energy) cannot be contained in a box, but comes from all eight directions
I’m not minimizing the effects of the monthly stars, but using a percentage point to compare with Annual stars, I would say the effect is about 10%. So you still have to watch out for the unlucky sectors.
This month, the potential problem areas are found in the south with possible leg injury, no renovation or banging in the southwest and avoid north east sector to reduce mishaps and illnesses.
West sector is especially good for study and sitting for exams.
