His power is rooted and stored in the Goat, which is clashed open by Ox in the year branch. In his current 10-year luck period of yin metal Rabbit, Rabbit makes his power even stronger. Metal is his graceful output but is clashing his power with his heavenly month stem. He badly needs water to bridge this clash. We can find it in his hour pillar, also in this year’s Earth Rat and this month’s Water Dog.
His performance so far, is exceptional because of the triangular combination of Snake, Rooster and Ox. As a matter of fact, today brings him additional powerful output with the combination of monkey, rooster and dog. Is the water strong enough to bridge and take him to the power? It has taken a bit longer than I have planned. Any way, this technique can also be applied to your 4 Pillars of Destiny chart (Bazi). This is the simplest and easiest method of avoiding the IN auspicious dates for your important events.
Take your year and day branches, find out their opposite branches which will become the year and day breakers. If you don’t know your year and day branches, go to my Home page, fill in your birth data under FREE Bazi or 4 Pillars of Destiny chart, and click calculate. Your 4P natal chart is then generated and the two branches will appear in the year and day columns.
Using today’s data, the year branch is Zi (Rat), and the day branch is Chou (Ox). Horse is directly opposite the Rat, so Wu (Horse) is your Year Breaker. Similarly, Wei (Goat) is directly opposite the Ox, Ox is your Day Breaker. Subsequently, you should avoid Horse and Goat days for any of your important endeavors. Note: we only use the Year and day branches for this calculation.
Needless to say, experienced practitioners will incorporate other more powerful methods to fine-tune the calculation of your auspicious dates.

I apologize for this long interval… blame it on global financial crisis, economical crisis, recession… you name it, but the fact is that among other things, I have to “house visit” my Feng Shui clients, write the corresponding reports, and the same goes for Bazi readings. Here are s ome flowers for your patience…
Today I will introduce you to “year and month breakers”. I hope you’re familiar with the 12 Chinese animal signs, and may be a bit about the Chinese calendars. You see, each Solar year or month is assigned with a stem and a branch.
Our focus is on the branches, each branch is represented by an animal, for example: 2008 is the year of Earth Rat, and this October is the month of Water Dog. Note that this will change at the end of each solar year or at the end of each solar month. The branch that is directly opposite to the branch of the year is known as Year break ; in our above example, Horse is directly opposite the Rat, so Horse is our Year Breaker. Similarly, Dragon is directly opposite the Dog, it is therefore known as the Month Breaker .

This is a common topic that comes up during a discussion. Should we or should we not have a water feature inside or outside of a house?
We all know that water activates the flow of qi (energy), the result may be beneficial because it could bring us wealth. Here’sa fun way to find out For indoor water feature, place it wherever you find suitable. Use a larger vessel for outdoor water feature. You must be very attentive and observant to check the results. If you suddenly receive an unexpected amount of money or experience some happy event, this may be a good location. However, if you start digging into your pocket to pay a series of repair bills, or something drastic happens… STOP the water flow immediately.

The most common method used for Date Selection is Tong Shu with 12 Officers which focuses on the clashes and combinations with the day branch. Then there is Dong Gong method which is more meticulous by using various “stars” in addition to the stems and branches. Finally, we can integrate Xuan Kong Da Gua method combined with your personal Four Pillars chart to fine-tune the date selection.
So depending on the importance of the event, I would first use your 4P chart, and then zoom in with all other methods. This results in an almost perfect day for your endeavor. Naturally, we can further narrow it down to a certain auspicious hour conducive to your big event! For this purpose, I introduce a personalized calendar at each year end as your year-long companion for immediate reference and usage all through the Solar year.

Date selection is the answer. It is a technique we used to choose an auspicious day… Be it for a job interview, career advancement, signing a contract, moving into a new home, launching a new product, starting a new business, getting married, and so forth.
