Annual Stars for 2008 (Feb 4, 2008 to Feb Feb 4, 2009)

Dear Readers,

Christmas holidays are just around the corner, and I am almost ready to greet the coming New Year.   Soon we’ll be busy shopping, going home to celebrate with our families, cooking and entertaining family members, friends, and may be neighbors as well.  We ‘ll be out of touch perhaps until after the New Year.

So for your easy and ready planning in 2008, I’m posting the compass directions of the flying stars for 2008 (from February 4, 2008 to February 3, 2009).

For some people, this may be quite a challenging year because the 5 Yellow star and the 3 Killings are both located in the south, especially if the main entrance to your living space is in this direction.  Here are some general tips:

1. Tai Sui (aka God of the year or Grand Duke Jupiter) occupies N2 direction (352.5° to 7.5° N).  Do not challenge him by facing him when you’re seated. Instead, sit with him behind you to gain his support.

2. The 5 Yellow enjoys peace and quiet, if your main door is located in the south, you should try using another door.  If this is not feasible, I would suggest placing a big golden bowl of water in the south to please him.  You must keep the bowl and the water impeccably clean!  Some would recommend metal cures but I like this cure because it smoothens the qi flow.

3. The 3 Killings are also in the south this year and contrary to the Tai Sui, you must always face them.   For 2008, you’ll be in tune with the Tai Sui and 3 Killings if you sit facing south.

4. Wu (Horse) is in direct conflict with Zi (Rat) because they are directly opposite each other as shown in the compass above.

And to close this post, please remember that you should keep the south direction quiet and peaceful, with minimum activities and noise.   Do not undertake renovation, digging, construction or demolition work in all the above mentioned sectors without the advice from your Feng Shui Consultants.

I wish you all joy and peace and a Merry Christmas, may good health and great fortune be with you and your loved ones at all time

Jeannie

How to take correct facing direction of your house?

It is vital to know the exact facing direction of your house prior to implementing any cures or placing any remedies, especially for flying star applications.

First of all, here’s a picture of a not too expensive compass as a basic tool.

Once you got this instrument or something similar, you can take the degree of your house/apartment’s facing.  As a general guide and reference, you can use the door facing the road, or your main door entrance in a house, or your main building entrance if you’re located below 9 floors, or the “yangest” (that gives a lot of yang energy) side of your unit, usually, it is your balcony if above 9th floor of a building.

Whichever of the above you’ve chosen as your reference point, here’s what you have to do to measure the correct facing direction of your house.

Stand about 3 meters (about 9 ft.) away from your main entrance or building, use the compass and take a reading away from cars, electric lamp posts, or any metallic devises which will influence the compass reading. Do it twice to make sure you have the same reading both times.

If readings differ, then stand at one corner of your building/house and follow the step mentioned above. When this is done, turn 90 degrees to your left or right and take the measurement again. The difference between these two readings should be 90 degrees.

Good luck!
